What is radio tuning?
Over time — or after a repair — two-way radios can drift out of alignment. A properly tuned radio transmits on the correct frequency with the right power output and receives clearly. An out-of-tune radio can cause interference, fail to key up repeaters properly, or simply have poor range.
We use calibrated equipment to align your radio to spec, ensuring it performs reliably whether you're on a job site or in an emergency.
What we tune
Transmit frequency deviation
Ensuring your radio transmits precisely on its programmed frequency.
Power output
Verifying and adjusting TX power to meet the radio's rated specification.
Receiver sensitivity
Checking that the radio receives signals cleanly at proper sensitivity levels.
CTCSS / DCS tones
Calibrating tone encode and decode levels for repeater and selective call use.
